Even within a single family, children can be very different. And because of this, they all require very different assistance to find success and reach their full potential. Karen, a busy mom of six daughters, found what all of her girls were needing with Elephant Learning. 

Challenges

Most parents will tell you that their children are very different. And it’s true. Even raised in the same household with the same rules and expectations, siblings will have very different personalities, interests, and motivations.

For Karen, mom to six daughters all under the age of ten, this was especially true. Ten-year-old Makayla is autistic and globally delayed, but her mom describes her as very sweet and funny. Reagan, who is eight, is mathematically inclined but is also very social. A natural leader, she often lacks the motivation necessary for schoolwork. Seven-year-old Alexis is a highly intelligent and gifted reader. Karen is also homeschooling her five-year-old daughter, Charlize, who struggled to adapt to the traditional school environment's rigorous structure. Also, the girls have two baby sisters, two-year-old Scarlett and one-year-old Sienna.

Karen needed assistance for Makayla to help her overcome the gaps in her mathematics knowledge and also to deliver homeschooled Charlize’s math lessons. At the same time, she hoped to find something to challenge Alexis and Reagan and introduce essential number recognition to Scarlett.

Karen’s Experience with Elephant Learning

The Elephant Learning app did not disappoint. When Charlize first started with Elephant Learning, she had an Elephant Learning age of just 3.5 years, over two years lower than most of her peers. Within six months, Charlize had gained over two years of math and had surpassed many of her peers. Makayla and Alexis had similar results, gaining one year and almost two years, respectively!
